Chesapeake Irish Terrier Club (CITC)
The Chesapeake Irish Terrier Club (CITC) is not just any breed club; it's a community of passionate and dedicated individuals who are committed to the health, happiness, and well-being of the beloved Irish Terrier. Based in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia, our members come from all walks of life, united by their love of this magnificent breed.
At the CITC, we take our responsibilities seriously, and we spare no effort to ensure that Irish Terriers are well-cared for and well-loved. As a very active club, we host an impressive array of events throughout the year, including up to four Designated Specialty Shows and a weekend of four AKC Independent Specialty Shows every Fall over one weekend. These events are not only an opportunity for our members to showcase their dogs' talents and beauty, but also to socialize, learn, and grow as a community.
But our commitment to the Irish Terrier doesn't end there. We are also deeply involved in educational activities, working tirelessly to raise awareness about this wonderful breed, its history, and its unique characteristics. Additionally, we rescue local Irish Terriers in need of new homes, providing them with the love, care, and attention they deserve.
At the CITC, we believe that anyone who shares our love and passion for the Irish Terrier is welcome. Whether you own one as a pet, a companion, or a show dog, or simply admire them from afar, we invite you to join us and help support the continued growth of this amazing breed. Together, we can ensure that the Irish Terrier remains a cherished and beloved companion for generations to come.
