In addition to the national Irish Terrier Club of America, there are 5 approved regional Irish Terrier clubs across the United States and one club in the application process. The regional clubs — based in southern California, northern California, Washington DC/Baltimore area, New York, and Chicago — are a great way to meet with other Irish terrier enthusiasts at a club specialty or supported show or at one of the educational or social events they host. We hope to have the Irish Terrier club based in New England join the approved regional clubs very soon. Click on each club below to visit their website.
The 5 Regional Clubs are:

The Irish Terrier Club of Northern California (ITCNC)
The Irish Terrier Club of Northern California has approximately 80 members. The ITCNC is a very social group that holds quarterly events for the membership and sponsors two Irish terrier specialties each year. One of the specialty shows is held on a Saturday in conjunction with the Golden Gate Kennel Club, a large benched show, and occurs in San Francisco during the last weekend in January each year.
Many officers and members attend the show and help to educate the public with regard to the Irish terrier breed. Our second specialty of the year is held in conjunction with the Northern California Terrier Association on a Friday during the second week of April in Sacramento (there are 4 days of shows available during that week due to back-to-back placements of the NCTA and Kennel Club of Sacramento shows).
Every March the ITCNC holds a St. Patrick’s Day party on the Sunday closest to March 17th at the Napa Valley Dog Training Center. All members and their dogs are invited for a luncheon and games. In July the Club holds its annual membership meeting and 4th of July social and barbeque at Diana Martin’s ranch in Sonoma on the Sunday closest to the holiday. Dogs are also invited and the Club holds a raffle and puppy parade. The fall social activity varies. Past events have included a group dog walk with picnic lunch and a pool party. The ITCNC holds a Christmas party with catered food and a raffle every year, usually on the first Sunday of December for the membership and dogs are definitely invited
